WHY GIVE?
We believe God owns all that we have and as Christians, we are stewards of God’s resources. The Bible reminds us of the importance of giving back to God a portion of what He so generously provides. Giving is an act of worship and we do not give to a church, a program or a building, but to the Lord Jesus Himself. Giving helps make it possible for others to hear the Gospel of the life changing message of Jesus Christ.
GIVING OPTIONS
Online Giving:
Online giving offers convenience for those who want to make a financial tithe (recurring) or one-time gift of offering to the church. This method will allow you to authorize the charge to your debit or credit card or an electronic check withdrawal from your bank account. You determine the fund allocations of your choice – if nothing is designated, your offering will be allocated to the General Fund.
To set up an online giving account, click here. Follow the prompts to set up your account and preferences, and then you’ll be able to make your donations on line.
Donate by Text:
Another option for making donations to DeWitt Christian Church is by using our easy to use Text-to-Give process using a credit card, debit card or automatic check transfer. Text “give” to 517-252-8453. Follow the prompts – the first time you text to give, you will be asked by the system to set up an “account” with us. You may set up for a one-time donation or a recurring donation. You may designate a fund, but you can’t “split” your donation at this time. If you’d like to text your tithe for the General Fund, and text an amount to donate to the Benevolence Fund, you will need to do two transactions.
Check:
Checks should be made payable to DeWitt Christian Church and can be given during the worship service or mailed to:
DeWitt Christian Church
2931 West Herbison Road
DeWitt, MI 48820
Attn: Financial Secretary
If you wish your contribution to be allocated to one of our designated funds, please write that fund in the comments section on your check (i.e., Capital Improvements). If you do not make any comments, your entire donation will be allocated to the General Fund.
Cash:
Donations can be placed in the offering plates during the worship service. To receive tax credit for a cash gift, the cash should be placed in an envelope with your name and address in order for the financial secretary to properly record the transaction. You may designate all or a portion of your donation to one of our designated funds by making notes on the envelope. If you do not make any designations, your entire contribution will be allocated to our General Fund.
