Consider Your Ways - King Solomon and the Temple
The story of Solomon is a cautionary tale. Notice the “if, then” statement. God established a covenant with Solomon: If he followed all the commandments of his father, God would bless him. However, when building his palace, Solomon began seeking his own glory, not God’s. It is not for or about us. The work we put into this building is not to make us look good, it is to be of service to people so they can find faith, find family, and find purpose. Never forget why we build.
